Our story

Born in a butcher shop, not an office.

We're butchers. A family business founded in 1976 in France's Drôme region: butchery, delicatessen, cheese and wine. A real counter, a real Saturday rush. That's where RushPilot was born — not in a market study.

The problem

The internet sells by item. We sell by weight.

When we wanted to sell online, we did what everyone does: tried the e-commerce websites on the market. We spent years struggling with them. These tools are designed to sell individual products — a book, a T-shirt, a pair of shoes. A fixed price, stock counted down, payment when ordering.

Our trade doesn't work that way. A bone-in rib steak never weighs exactly 1.2 kg. A roast is tied to order. The right price comes from the scales when weighed, not from an online basket. By bending e-commerce websites to fit a butcher shop, we were bending our trade instead of serving it.

So we spent years building our own

We stopped adapting and started building. First for ourselves: orders taken on a tablet during service, order labels printed automatically, preparation by department, collection slots that respect what the team can handle, and click & collect that sells by weight, with payment after weighing, just like at the counter. Every screen was refined after a real Saturday. When something didn't work, it wasn't a support ticket: it was our busy service that suffered.

Designed for artisans who sell by weight

RushPilot is the version of that tool we install for fellow professionals: butchers, delicatessens, cheesemongers, caterers — everyone selling by weight and cut. The same screens and logic, with your colours, catalogue and collection slots. We know the rush, the cut you can't step away from, the customer in a hurry. The tool is built for that pace.

I didn't build RushPilot to sell it. I built it because I needed it in my own butcher shop. Selling it came later, when fellow butchers saw Counter in action.

“Your trade shouldn't have to bend to fit a website. The price is set on the scales, not in a basket. Your sales channel belongs to you — no commission, no marketplace between you and your customers. And the right tool is one you can pick up on a Saturday morning, without training.”
